Gizaudio(YouTube Video Review):-

Timmy absolutely loved the Performer 5, he rates it B+ in his rating list. According to which, Performer 5 gets the rating of Maximum worth its price under 500$. Timmy finds the Performer 5 to have a neutral-ish sound with bass boosted signature. He finds the tuning balance of the pair to be excellent, Treble is the most interesting him. He says Treble is pretty well-extended and delivered nicely.

AFUL Performer 5 is the only pair in Timmy’s tier list around the 200$ price point to get the B+ rating. You can check out his complete review over here.

Ian Fann(Youtube):-

Ian Fann is an enthusiastic audio gear reviewer with over 8K subscribers on Youtube. He is also very active on FB groups and head-fi postings. He shared a video of unboxing, measuring, and sharing his first impressions on his Youtube channel. According to Ian,  the Performer5 has a very neutral type of sound tuning with a bass boost. He says the pair sounds very clean and natural, uncolored. Bass shelf is super good, it is elevated while the other frequencies are pretty neutral. Treble region is not sibilant at all, Treble response is clear but not very prominent. The energy is there but it’s not very energetic. There’s quite a bit of air in the treble region and the sound separation is also very solid.

His video shows how much he enjoyed the Performer 5. He has done a great job in making the video, you should definitely check out his video on his YouTube channel.

In-Ear Fetish(YouTube):-

In-Ear Fetish is another channel by Z-Reviews on YouTube. He has shared his in-depth impressions on Performer5 on this channel. According to him, the Performer5 is a very good-sounding pair. When he posted his review, we hadn’t disclosed the price back then, and he recommends this as a buy if it comes anywhere under 300$. We tried our best and priced it at 219.99$ only matching people’s expectations. As per his review, The bass is nicely done, and controlled well within its region. If you are an IEM collector and love using different and new things, the AFUL Performer5 is a different and new thing. You should definitely check out his complete review over here.

Chi-Fi Audio Reviews(YouTube):-

Chi-Fi Audio Reviews is a YouTube channel by Jason. He has done an in-depth review for the Performer5 where he showered the pair with his positive feedback. As per him, the pair sounds good, he likes it, for the asking price it is very much worth it. According to the review, he states the bass is quite good on the pair with good clarity and resolution. Vocals he find a little thin and the treble to be a bit dark as well. You can check out his complete in-depth review over here.

NYMZ(Head-Fi):-

Another positive feedback came towards the Performer5 from NYMZ on the Head-Fi platform. He finds the pair to deliver quality sound performance with proper tonality and precisely balanced sound presentation. You can read his exact words, “Buzzwords and patents aside, AFUL’s team entered the building in absolute style, kicking down the front door. I’m finding myself hard-pressed to find a more tonally balanced model than the Performer 5 at his price bracket or below (let’s ignore ER2XR due to fit, shall we?).

In sum, I think the price is pretty clever, positioning themselves far enough from the $300+ kingpins like the technically gifted Blessing 2 twins - which also have fundamental flaws of their own, - and being so competitive in price that everyone will want a bite of this pie. Hell, I’ll go further and say that minus the mid-range, I’d take the AFUL’s tuning over the Blessing 2 or Dusk, while the twins prey the Performer 5 open on imaging chops and better dynamics.” Check out his complete review on Head-Fi here.

Osprey Andy(Head-Fi):-

Andy loved the presentation of Performer5. He associates it with the sensation you get normally with a sub-woofer. Just using his exact words here, “AFUL Performer 5 is a solid and amazing unit end to end. The application of exotic tech does translates into sonic performances that will not fail to instill a WOW element. I know it WOWed me, despite of my dogged insistence to sticking to more neutral-sounding IEMs.

I like it a lot that P5 is highly organic and natural sounding with timbre and tonal balance (despite being colored with sound spectrum). This is how a vibrant yet mature-sounding unit should be tuned. It compels the user to want to listen more and more, not wanting to put it aside because the music sounded so lively and immersive. While being musical, P5 remained highly acute with technicalities, details, and crisp imaging in abundance, always.

AFUL Performer 5-2

And yes the Bass, damn that Subwoofer sensation is an absolute winner in my book. That rich mesmerizing flow of Bass responses, is airy and commanding. Bass heavy tracks simply blissful to listen to.”

Reading this, we feel like Andy could really connect with our vision and could really enjoy Performer5. You can read his full review on Head-Fi here.

Jasef Carlo Pusta(Posted on Facebook Group Gizaudio):-

Josef Carlo Pusta shared his impressions of the Performer5 on the Facebook group Gizaudio. His words tell us that he liked the pair a lot, and he finds it competing well against another IEM that is priced about thrice the Performer 5. Stating his words here, “P5’s bass has slower, more natural, and more satisfying decay. Its bass quantity/shelf is also perfect, in my opinion. Sub-bass rumble and mid-bass slam? You get plenty of those without muddying the mids. P5’s mids have a hint of warmth to it. It’s a lot like Kinda Lava’s mids in this regard.” He finds the Performer5 to compete well against IEMs priced way above its price league. We are just happy that people are enjoying our products!!

AFUL Performer 5-3

Edz Cuizon(Facebook group):-

Eda Cuizon has shared a well-written impression post on the Facebook group. He finds the pair to have an excellent bass response with a coherent sync of different drivers. The author finds the pair to have a lively and vibrant sound with clean and precise presentation. He states the mids are prominent and the detail level is simply superb for the set. You should definitely read his impression post on the Facebook group here.

Goji-Fi(Facebook):-

GoJi-Fi has shared a well-detailed review of the Performer5 on its Facebook page. He praises the pair to have a kilobuck level tuning at less than 1/4th of the price. As per him, the pair has a U to L-shaped matured sound with impressive midrange capabilities. He finds the pair to have a natural tonality with a bit of warmth resulting in a very satisfying and engaging listen without any forced frequencies. Driveability is another plus in favor of Performer 5. He doesn’t shy away from calling the Performer5 one of the absolute monuments in the price bracket. We enjoyed reading his written review, and really appreciate his kind words given to our pair. You can check out his complete review here as well.

Techpowerup:-

Techpowerup is a widely recognized website known for its excellently done reviews related to different products. They have given a deep insight into the AFUL Performer5 with their review. Just stating their own words here, “Indeed, the AFUL Performance 5 does meet its own standards in providing a generally smooth treble response to where the frequency response is quite similar to some tribrids including the ThieAudio Monarch MKII and XENNS UP, although the presentation is still quite different from the EST tweeters there. There is a strong place for the AFUL Performer 5 as a general all-rounder, given the pressure relief system and ergonomic size/shape resulting in a set that rivals CIEMs for comfort. Since there are far more positives than negatives, I will give it a recommendation.” It feels like they really enjoyed the set to give it a recommendation to other people. Check out their review here.

Headphonesty:-

Headphonesty is a reputed audio gear reviewing media website widely known among audiophiles. They have given their honest take on the Performer 5 by saying, "Other than being one of the easiest IEMs to drive, the Performer 5 isolation, aesthetics, and ergonomics are impeccable. Like their namesake, these perform quite well in technicalities, perhaps other than in soundstage. The Performer 5’s U-shaped tonality should also please most consumers. While they justify some of the hype, the Performer 5 are not giant killers. I have seen cheaper sets with better accessory packaging, and the soundstage is below average, though good imaging and layering make-up for this. There’s also BA timbre present, and the mid-bass could do with better texturing."

We appreciate them sharing their honest opinion with us and this has made up more enthusiastic to work on future projects. You should read their complete review here.
