The DAWN-X is designed to be different and our most aspiring project to date, featuring a 14-driver setup as we just mentioned above. The pair features four different types of drivers, including a powerful dynamic driver unit, eight high-performance balanced armature drivers, four highly resolving Electrostatic drivers, and one hard-hitting bone conduction driver unit.

AFUL, through its innovative Wideband Electrostatic system, has enabled the EST setup on the DAWN-X to operate at frequencies above 5kHz. We have engineered this multi-driver architecture into harmony with our proprietary crossover and resonance technologies, including 3D Micro-Resonance Acoustic Pathways, a multidimensional 6-way crossover, our signature high-damping air-pressure balance system, and advanced RLC network crossover technology. For the 3D micro-resonance acoustic structure, we have designed independent pathways for each driver type here on the DAWN-X.
The pair has a 6-way electronic+physical crossover designed with full-precision to offer a seamless integration between the different drivers.
